The European Information Technology Observatory - EITO was established in 1992 as an independent, non-profit organization, funded by a number of industrial sponsors, including the European Commission and the OECD. Since 1993, the European Information Technology Observatory offers high quality and up-to-date information on European and global markets for information technology, telecommunications and consumer electronics. The EITO is managed by Bitkom Research GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of BITKOM, the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media in Germany. EITO collaborates with leading market research institutes including IDC and GfK.  Part of EITO is the EITO Task Force where members are ICT market experts, having in-depth knowledge of specific market segments and countries included in EITO reports.

EITO  members are eleven European-National IT associations. MASIT  is EITO member since January 1, 2009, and as an active EITO member MASIT has the opportunity to dispose with  all types of reports that are prepared by the observatory and all PR articles on trends in the IT industry. Macedonian IT market is not included in the EITO researches and reports yet, but there are some negotiations for including and analyzing the Macedonian ICT trends, also.
