On July 3, 2019, in Bitola, MASIT together with the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia, the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce and the EPI Center International held an informative event on the topic “Legal regulations as an opportunity and challenge for establishing of a startup company ”, as part of the USAID Partnership for Better Business Regulation Project.
“We have been following the development of the startup community for a long time – while trying to keep up with the world’s trends. But in order to be fully developed in this field, to recognize the need for the free development of the idea through the formation and functioning of startups in the country, we must know exactly what we have on one hand as a benefit and a benefit, but also with the benefits. what we face on the other hand as an obstacle or difficulty, on which we have to work. This is exactly the purpose of today’s event – from multiple angles and with many experts to discuss all the problems we face, to recognize the startup community as a very important future driver of the economy, and to identify our opportunities for changing legislation, such as a starting point for forming a startup. To determine if and what problems innovators face when they first meet the regulations they need to operate, whether they need to be adapted appropriately to monitor the economic trends in the world, “said Alexandra Chavdarevska, MASIT’s lawyer.
This commitment is already recognized and on the agenda of the Ministry of Economy, and we believe that our dedication to the topic can only positively contribute to creating a constructive atmosphere for amending the legal solution through the principles of public-private dialogue.
Today’s event, along with experts and business sector representatives, was attended by future entrepreneurs and young people who have ideas to start their own startups. That is why at the event there was a discussion about the specific challenges that exist when starting a company, what are the conditions that need to be improved and how to raise the culture of company development.
The Chambers of Commerce, which are part of this project, are actively dealing with all the issues and challenges that companies in the country face in their daily businesses. The Project has also produced a free manual for starting and running a business and provides ongoing information to support companies through the aggregate portal biznisregulativa.mk.
