As part of its activities for the WITSA Virtual Global ICT Excellence Awards 2020, MASIT is again organizing a selection of “MASIT Awards for Innovative ICT Solutions” for outstanding achievements in the field of information technology for 2020. Cities and sites that successfully use technology-assisted solutions in the fight against COVID-19 can be nominated in this category. Candidates must demonstrate that the technologies or solutions adopted have had a clear positive impact on mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on their geographical locations.
In this category can be nominated countries or regions that demonstrate vision and leadership in terms of using digital tools to successfully respond to the crisis COVID-19, including engaging with vulnerable groups, as well as implementing innovative digital technologies to solve not only short-term problems, but also for the development of the elasticity of society against future health crises in cooperation with industry and other stakeholders.
In this category can be nominated all companies or individuals who successfully use information and communication technology, artificial intelligence, data or similar in the fight against SOVID-19. Examples of solutions include tele-health applications, respect for privacy, social distance implementation, contact and monitoring technologies, and vaccination and testing solutions. Nominees must demonstrate that technology or solution has had a real impact on mitigating the impact of SOVIDE-19.
In this category, solutions can be nominated that have helped to find new solutions and strengthen finances with successful cooperation between the public and private sectors in ICT.
In this category can be nominated solutions that have significantly increased the digital opportunities for the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, in terms of opportunities to use IT and Internet access.
In this category can be nominated solutions that promote sustainable economic growth, which is defined as the ability to improve the financial and social situation in the country. There are three key challenges: climate change, resource degradation and pollution. At the heart of all three is energy efficiency and the role of ICT in achieving it.
Solutions that make great efforts to use ICT as a tool to promote health and health care, such as telehealth, mHealth, e-health or e-learning, e-health files, legal regulations, can be nominated in this category. or social media. Solutions can range from providing information on public health, community health support, and support systems in health care facilities.
Solutions that have introduced significant innovations in technology that promote business and IT can be nominated in this category. Digital innovations that show progress in the productivity and potential of business applications, as well as technology that significantly contributes to an organization’s improved efficiency, productivity, and performance, or more broadly, help deliver the digital age promise to all.
In this category can be nominated solutions and the best projects that through electronic learning use innovative new technological tool, or existing electronic tools for learning in an innovative way. Solutions that will facilitate and support learning through the use of information and communication technology.
All ICT companies that will nominate their own solutions implemented by end users in the Republic of Macedonia have the right to participate, while the participation in “MASIT Awards for Innovative ICT Solutions” for MASIT members is free, while for non-members it is 50 euros + VAT.
