The IT Sector Workforce Demand Survey in 2005 was done by MASIT and the USAID funded MCA Competitiveness Project. The research was financially supported by the German technical support program (GTZ PSP). The development is based on the WITSA methodology, according to which similar research has already been done in Shri Lanka and the Philippines with the support of USAID. The research is fully supported by the 5 faculties that educate IT professionals in Macedonia: Faculty of Electrical Engineering – Skopje, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Skopje, Faculty of Engineering – Bitola, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics – Skopje and Faculty of Economics – Skopje. All data were collected by MASIT in October-December 2005, while the research was conducted by the Faculty of Economics in Skopje.

The ICT Sector Workforce Demand Survey in 2009 was done by SMMRI, supported by the USAID Competitiveness Project, developed for the ICT Chamber of Commerce – MASIT. This year’s report offers a comparison with the results of the 2005 report.
